Government is working openly and will inform about coronavirus situation on time

Bishkek, March 12, 2020. / Kabar /. The Kyrgyz government held a regular meeting of the republican headquarters on coronavirus infection, the press service of the government reported.

Vice Prime Minister Altynai Omurbekova recalling that the World Health Organization (WHO) announced that the spread of the new coronavirus has reached the stage of a pandemic, since most countries are affected, stressed that all relevant services on the state border of Kyrgyzstan are working in an enhanced mode. State bodies carry out monitoring on an ongoing basis and monitor the situation in the world.

“There is no reason to panic. There are no confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Kyrgyz Republic; the epidemiological situation is stable. The government is working openly and will timely inform citizens about the situation on coronavirus,” she said.

The Vice Prime Minister called on Kyrgyz people not to disseminate information on social networks and instant messengers that is not true and to follow the recommendations of the Ministry of Health and the Republican Headquarters.

She also informed the participants about the decision of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on the introduction of a temporary restriction on cultural, sports and other public events until the epidemiological situation regarding coronavirus infection improves.

At the same time, the republican headquarters urged all Kyrgyz citizens to advise their children not to visit temporarily and not to take their children to shopping and entertainment centers, playgrounds, playrooms and other crowded places and to spend vacations at home.

During the meeting, it was noted that it was recommended that state and municipal servants limit business trips to other countries until the situation on the coronavirus stabilizes.

As a result of the meeting, the relevant state bodies were given a number of instructions. The Ministry of Education and Science is instructed to continue outreach among students of educational institutions on the rules of personal hygiene, the rules for the prevention of influenza and coronavirus.

The Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism has been tasked jointly with the Ministry of Health to periodically provide citizens with information through the media about the countries of the outbreak of coronavirus so that Kyrgyzstanis plan their trips based on this information.

The relevant authorities were instructed to hold with individuals and legal entities engaged in activities in the field of trade, services and public catering and to recommend not to hold events with the participation of a large number of people until the time limit is lifted.
