Government organizers transport for medics on weekends

Bishkek, July 2, 2020. /Kabar/. On weekends, when public transport does not work, health workers will be taken to work.

As Kyrgyzstan’s Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov said at a briefing, this issue has been worked out by the Ministry of Health and the Bishkek Mayor’s Office.

"Health workers will be taken,” he said answering questions.

On June 25, the Bishkek Mayor’s Office reported that public transport in the capital, as well as taxi will not work on weekends.

This measure will be preserved until the improvement of the epidemiological situation in the capital.

Kyrgyzstan reported 526 confirmed COVID-19 cases on Thursday raising the total number of infections to 6,261.

Among the new cases 42 are medical workers, bringing the total number of contracted medical workers to 921, including 464 recoveries.

Nationwide recoveries from novel coronavirus has reached 2,530.

Death toll stands at 66.
