Bishkek, April 16, 2021 . / Kabar / . The Kyrgyz delegation led by Governor of Kyrgyzstan’s Issyk-Kul Oblast Elchibek Dzhantayev has arrived in Ural Federal District of Russia for a working visit.
The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that the governor visited Chelyabinsk Oblast, where a meeting was held with Deputy Governor Stanislav Mosharov.
"The meeting was held as part of the implementation of measures under the agreement between the Issyk-Kul Oblast state administration and the Government of Chelyabinsk Oblast on trade and economic, scientific and technical and humanitarian cooperation of July 19, 2017," the report said.
Thus, the sides discussed the development of inter-regional trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian ties, the possibility of mutual supply of goods and products, as well as the establishment of joint ventures.
Governor Dzhantayev spoke about the priority sectors of Issyk-Kul Oblast and the tourism potential of Kyrgyzstan. He proposed to intensify cooperation in the field of tourism and organization of recreational activities for residents and employees of industrial enterprises of Chelyabinsk Oblast in the resort and recreational facilities of Issyk-Kul.
Further, the delegation visited CZP POLET JSC, got acquainted with the experience of implementation of digitalization in the development of the oblast on the example of the Smart City project, also met with the management of the Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant MECHEL PJSC and familiarized with the production process.
The delegation of Kyrgyzstan held a meeting with representatives of the tourism industry, trade unions of large industrial enterprises of Chelyabinsk, during which presentations of tourist opportunities in Kyrgyzstan was organized.
The Kyrgyz MFA said that the Russian side expressed interest in developing cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in the field of health tourism.
