Bishkek, Sept. 15, 2020. /Kabar/. A graffiti wall dedicated to human rights appeared at the intersection of Maldybayev and Tokombayev Streets in Bishkek.
According to the press service of the Mayor’s Office of the capital, the wall is now decorated with a bright artistic composition with a portrait of a famous human rights activist Nelson Mandela.
"Street art project appeared on the initiative of the Voice of Freedom public fund and support of the Bishkek Mayor’s Office in honor of the UN International Day in Support of Victims of Torture and Nelson Mandela International Day," the report says.
The graffiti belongs to artist Evgeny Makshakov.
Nelson Mandela has dedicated his life to the cause of peace and humanism - as a human rights defender, an international peacemaker and the first democratically elected president of a free South Africa.
