Bishkek, Feb. 22, 2023 / Kabar/. In January 2023, compared to the previous month, an increase in consumer prices and tariffs was observed in all EAEU member countries.
According to data of the National Statistical Committee, the increase in prices in Kyrgyzstan (1.5%) is due to their increase in food products (by 1.8%).
In January 2023, compared to January 2022, the highest inflation rate (20.7%) in the consumer sector of the economy was recorded in Kazakhstan, where, compared to January 2022, food prices increased the most (including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products) - by 25.7%, non-food products - by 20.2%, and the maximum increase in tariffs for services - by 14.2%.
