Growth of acute respiratory viral infections incidence observed in Bishkek

Bishkek, Oct. 8, 2021. / Kabar / . According to the City Health Department, with the onset of cold snap in the capital there has been an increase in acute respiratory infections, the press service of the Bishkek Mayor’s Office reported.

According to the Center for State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance, 1,466 cases of acute respiratory infections were registered during the last week, 805 cases were registered during the same period last year.

"All Family Medicine Centers are vaccinating against influenza for people at risk: children in orphanages, children who are often ill, nursing homes and residents of nursing homes and specialized homes for people with disabilities. Medical workers who work in emergency departments, maternity hospitals, intensive care units, primary care units, family practice physicians and the elderly over 65 years old are also vaccinated,” the report says.
