Growth of country's economy largely depends on work of audit bodies - vice speaker of Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, July 4, 2018. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan, as an active member of the SCO, welcomes the IV meeting of the Supreme Audit Institutions of the SCO member states in Bishkek, Vice Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament Mirlan Bakirov told during the meeting of heads of the SCO audit bodies.

He said that Kyrgyzstan stands for close cooperation with the SCO countries, including the financial control bodies.

"I am sure that holding meetings of the heads of the SCO audit bodies was the right decision, since regular meetings give an opportunity to exchange experience. The Jogorku Kenesh, as the supreme legislative body, pays much attention to assessing the effectiveness of the use of financial resources in the public sector. In this regard, one of the key elements on which the Parliament and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic work is the conduct of an appropriate audit," he said.

The Vice Speaker noted that the cooperation of the Parliament with the Accounts Chamber is of fundamental importance.

"I am sure that the growth of the economy, as an improvement in the quality of living standards of the population, largely depends on the work of the state bodies. It is also a huge contribution to the fight against corruption," Bakirov said.

In conclusion, he welcomed the representatives of India and Pakistan, who recently became full members of the SCO.
