According to him, in 2019 in there were 670 thousand pensioners in the republic, and KGS 45 billion was allocated.
"Of these, KGS 21 billion were allocated from the republican budget. In 2019, the average pension was KGS 5,786 (about $ 75) and the minimum subsistence level made KGS 4,286 (about $ 55). Today, the minimum subsistence level of a pensioner is KGS 4,900 (about $ 63).
As you can see, minimum living wage is growing. If taken as a percentage, today more than 58% of retirees receive pensions above the minimum subsistence level, and 42% - below the minimum subsistence level. The Social Fund is working and will continue to work on this,” Asanov concluded.
