Bishkek, Jan.31, 2020. /Kabar/. The Guarantee Fund OJSC has provided 538 guarantees to women entrepreneurs for an amount of KGS 457 million, Chairman of the Fund Malik Abakirov told at the press conference.
He said the share of women's entrepreneurship in the total amount of guarantees provided amounted to 34%.
"We also pay great attention to women entrepreneurs as part of our activities. In 2017, the Guarantee Fund together with the Asian Development Bank trained 277 women, future entrepreneurs. Of these, 20 received loans. Every year we provide training to 1 thousand 200 people, including women. The Fund does not divide the recipients of the guarantee into female or male entrepreneurs," Abakirov said.
The chairman also said the Fund is a participant in the implementation of the World Bank's Integrated Dairy Productivity Improvement Project.
Since autumn last year, loans worth KGS 32 million have been approved for 444 farmers in regions of Issyk-Kul Oblast.
After formalizing loans in these regions, the Guarantee Fund will continue the process of financial support to dairy farms in Ton and Issyk-Kul regions of the oblast.
