Bishkek, July 8, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Guardsmen carried the flag of the Kyrgyz Republic along the main square of Minsk.
The press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that the solemnly celebration of the Independence Day of Belarus took place in Minsk on July 3. Seventy-four years ago Minsk was liberated from the Nazi invaders.
The group of the National Guard of the Kyrgyz Armed Forces consisting of 5 persons also participated in the spectacular event. Kyrgyz Guardsmen marched along the main square of Minsk with the state flag of Kyrgyzstan along with servicemen of the former Soviet republics, as well as the People's Liberation Army of China.
This year more than 4 thousand servicemen and 250 units of ground and air military equipment were involved in the parade of troops.
The Minsk Independence Day Parade is the main event of the Independence Day of Belarus. This parade is held annually in Minsk on July 3 and is one of the most frequently held military parades in Eastern Europe, as well as the former Soviet Union. It is held every year except years that celebrate Victory Day (9 May), to which Victory Day Parades are held.
