Bishkek, March 13, 2024. /Kabar/. Minister of Labor, Social Security and Migration Gulnara Baatyrova led the official delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic to participate in the 68th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women, the ministry’s press service reported.
Delegates from relevant organizations from over 190 countries will discuss accelerating gender equality, fighting poverty, strengthening institutions and empowering all women and girls through gender-responsive financing.
Baatirova will make a presentation on the situation of women and girls, as well as on the ongoing policies in the field of achieving gender equality in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Permanent Representative of Kyrgyzstan to the UN in New York Aida Kasymalieva, Ombudsman Jamilya Jamanbaeva, Deputy Minister of Finance Jibek Duisheeva, Head of the Department of Gender Policy and Coordination for Protection from Domestic Violence of the Ministry of Labor Gulmira Okoeva will also take part in the exchange of recommendations and opinions regarding the empowerment of women and girls..
