Harmonious integration of values of different cultures occurs in multinational Kyrgyzstan through education - Jeenbekov

Bishkek, Oct. 11, 2018. /Kabar/. Harmonious integration of values of different cultures and languages, ethnic and religious communities occurs in multinational Kyrgyzstan through education, President Sooronbay Jeenbekov told at the opening of the V Congress of Teachers and Education Workers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) on Thursday.

“At the same time, we believe that the task of state importance is that all citizens of the country know the Kyrgyz language. Kyrgyz language, as the state language of the Kyrgyz Republic, should fulfill the function of national unity,” the country leader said.

He said that all conditions have been created in Kyrgyzstan for the preservation and development of languages, traditions of all ethnic groups living in the country. “Our Constitution reflects the principle of commnad of the state, official and one of the world languages by our citizens,” the President noted.

Jeenbekov stressed that the Russian language is an official language in |Kyrgyzstan.

“Kyrgyzstan is one of the countries where citizens fluently speak the language of Pushkin and Dostoevsky. We consider this the spiritual wealth of our society. I am convinced that we should protect and multiply this wealth,” the President said.
