A meeting of the leadership of the military department with a delegation of the Central Military District of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation headed by Commander, Colonel General Alexander Lapin was held at the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic, the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
Welcoming the guests, head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic, Major General Rayimberdi Duishenbiev noted the dynamics of the development of the cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia. “Our countries have close strategic partnership relations. Military cooperation with the Russian Federation is one of the priorities of international cooperation,” he said.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of ensuring and strengthening regional security, developing the military-political situation in the region, joint use of the armed forces of the two countries, and the procedure for conducting joint operational and combat training activities. The Russian side shared the experience gained during the military operations in Syria. Preservation and further development of historical ties, military-patriotic education, preparation for the upcoming celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War were also in the focus of attention of the meeting.
