Bishkek, June 21, 2024. /Kabar/. Head of the Issyk-Kul region Ulanbek Daliev met with Ambassador of the United States of America to the Kyrgyz Republic Lesslie Viguerie.
According to the regional state administration, at the meeting key attention was paid to the development of summer and winter tourism in the Issyk-Kul region.
Daliev emphasized that the region has unique natural and climatic conditions that help attract tourists all year round. The summer season offers vacationers clean beaches, healing springs and a rich cultural heritage, while in winter Issyk-Kul becomes an attractive destination for lovers of skiing and winter activities.
The head of the region noted that with the help of international partners such as the United States, the Issyk-Kul region can significantly improve its tourism infrastructure and create conditions for a comfortable holiday for tourists at any time of the year. This will contribute to the growth of the region’s economy and improve the living standards of its residents.
Ambassador Lesslie Viguerie expressed interest in supporting projects aimed at developing the tourism potential of the region. He emphasized that Issyk-Kul, having a rich natural and cultural heritage, has every chance of becoming an even more popular destination for international tourists. Viguerie also noted the importance of the environmental aspect of tourism and the US willingness to cooperate in projects aimed at sustainable development of the region.
At the end of the meeting, Ulanbek Daliev and Lesslie Viguerie expressed their mutual intention to continue cooperation and develop new initiatives aimed at turning the Issyk-Kul region into a leading year-round tourist center.
