Head of Kyrgyz Cabinet and deputy secretary general of UN discuss priority areas of co-op

Bishkek, June 11, 2022. / Kabar /. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov met with First Deputy Secretary General of the UN Amina Mohammed.

The sides discussed priority areas of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the UN, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

“From the very beginning, our country has actively participated in the preparation and discussion of the global Agenda for Sustainable Development, in determining the Sustainable Development Goals until 2030.

All goals are reflected in the new strategic document - the National Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2026, which was approved by the Presidential Decree of October 12, 2021,” Akylbek Zhaparov said.

Amina Mohammed expressed readiness to cooperate with Kyrgyzstan at all levels.

Following the meeting, the sides signed the Framework Program of the UN system for cooperation in the field of sustainable development in the Kyrgyz Republic for 2023-27.
