Head of Kyrgyz Cabinet meets with chair of Foreign Affairs Committee of UK Parliament

Bishkek, Nov. 28, 2023 . / Kabar / . Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov met with members of the British Parliament, headed by Chair of the Foreign Affairs Select Committee Alicia Kearns.

The meeting took place as part of Zhaparov's working trip to the United Kingdom, the press service of the Kyrgyz Cabinet said.

Akylbek Zhaparov expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome of the Kyrgyz delegation.

He also added that the parties of the two countries have done a lot of work to build Kyrgyz-British interstate relations, established political dialog, inter-parliamentary cooperation, and created a bilateral legal framework.

"I am proud to note that in the Central Asian region, the Kyrgyz Parliament is a strong and independent branch of government. In this regard, it is important to continue joint work with the British Parliament to further strengthen parliamentarism in Kyrgyzstan," the head of the Cabinet said.

Alicia Kearns, in turn, expressed the willingness of the British Parliament to further strengthen friendly relations between the two countries.
