Head of Kyrgyz Migration Service meets with compatriots in Moscow ahead of elections and referendum

Bishkek, Dec. 22, 2020. /Kabar/. Chairman of Kyrgyzstan’s State Migration Service Tashtanbek Kaimazarov held on Monday a meeting with representatives of diaspora structures and public associations of Kyrgyzstanis in Moscow.

According to the press service of the Migration Service, the meeting was also attended by Deputy Chairman of Kyrgyzstan’s Central Elections Commission Akylbek Eshimov, Chairman of Bishkek Territorial Elections Commission (TEC) Kairat Mamatov and employees of the Kyrgyz Embassy in Russia.

At the meeting, representatives of the CEC and Bishkek TEC provided information on the amendments to the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Elections", the procedure for participation in the upcoming presidential elections and referendum of Kyrgyzstanis residing in Russia.

The issues of consular registration, formation of voter lists and other problematic issues of Kyrgyz citizens in the Russian Federation were discussed.

In accordance with the decision of the CEC, a total of 15 polling stations have been opened in Russia.
