Cholpon-Ata, Sept. 07, 2018. /Kabar/. Chief of Kyrgyz President’s Office Dosaly Esenaliev met today with heads of the state-run news agencies of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The Chief of the President’s Office, opening the meeting, warmly welcomed the guests and noted the importance of the meeting.
“I am glad that the 25th meeting of the Council of heads of CIS News Agencies is taking place here, on the shore of colorful Issyk-Kul and coincides with a number of significant events. Recently the Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States and several other events within the Third World Nomad Games have been held successfully. You have gathered for the 25th time – your jubilee meeting. We had a very rich programme, it would be good if you had a little more time to see the sights on the shore of Issyk-Kul“, Esenaliev said.
Moreover, he pointed out that the Kabar Kyrgyz National News Agency turned 81 years old and that it had continuous contact with all the state-run CIS News Agencies, which has a positive influence on the comprehensive cooperation between the countries.
“Today, as it is known, more than 500 representatives of foreign mass media are covering the activities within the World Nomad Games. The number of our correspondents is the same. Among them are your personnel as well, and it is a good example of mutual support, both in informational and cultural directions“, Esenaliev said.
The participants of the meeting thanked the Chief of the President’s Office for the meeting. They said warm words about the beauty of Issyk-Kul Lake and expressed delight in regard to the fact that as a venue for the meeting such a picturesque site had been chosen.
At the end of the meeting Esenaliev presented the guests with token gifts, reflecting the Kyrgyz culture and nature. Deputy Director General of the TASS agency Mikhail Kalmykov handed a courtesy gift over to the Head of the President’s Office from the TASS.
The meeting was attended by Director of Kabar Kyrgyz National News Agency Kubanychbek Taabaldiev, First Deputy Director General of TASS Mikhail Kalmykov, Head of CIS and Baltic States Department of TASS Mikhail Grushin, Deputy Director of the International Relations Department of TASS Natalia Menshikova, Deputy Director General of AZERTAC Nazim Hidirov, Director General of ARMENPRESS Aram Ananyan, Director General of BelTA Irina Akulovich, Director General of Kazinform News Agency Askar Umarov, and Head of the Information and Informatization Department of the CIS Executive Committee Igor Grigoriyev.
The 25th meeting of the Council of heads of CIS News Agencies took place yesterday, on September 6, in Issyk-Kul. The organizer of the meeting is Kabar News Agency.
During the meeting the sides discussed the role of these mass media in the development of domestic tourism within the framework of the Year of Culture in the CIS, the work of Kabar News Agency in covering the Third World Nomad Games, the activities of the CIS Executive Committee in the sphere of information exchanges between the Commonwealth states and the most important events in the region in 2018-2019.
