Head of Kyrgyzstan’s Cabinet of Ministers hold meeting on epidemic situation

Bishkek, June 14, 2021 . / Kabar / . Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Ulukbek Maripov held on Monday a meeting on the epidemiological situation in the country, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers said.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers emphasized the emerging situation with the growth of COVID-19 disease requires increased work of relevant state and local authorities.

"The current situation raises serious concerns. We must not allow crisis moments, as it was last year. It is necessary to strengthen the work on containment and stabilization of the epidemiological situation in Bishkek, Osh and Chui Oblast.

The Ministry of Health and Social Development should keep under special control the issue of providing necessary medical and sanitary assistance to the population, the availability of sufficient number of basic and reserve beds in hospitals for the treatment of patients with coronavirus infection, as well as the availability of drugs," he said.

Ulukbek Maripov stressed the need to speed up work on the delivery of vaccines against coronavirus infection and to increase the rate of vaccination.

"In the near future, 150,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccine and 80,000 doses of Sputnik V vaccine will arrive in the country. The relevant state bodies need to keep the issue of timely supply of vaccines to the country under constant review. Increasing the rate of vaccination of the population is a special priority for us," he said.
