Bishkek, Sept. 27, 2023. /Kabar/. Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubanychbek Bokontaev took part in the 5th meeting of the OIC-COMCEC Forum of Central Banks, held on September 24-25 in Istanbul.
According to the National Bank, during the event Bokontaev met with Chairman of the Central Bank of Turkiye, Hafize Gaye Erkan.
In addition, on the sidelines of the Forum, bilateral meetings were held between the Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic with Chairman of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan M. Nurmuratov and Chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan T. Suleimenov.
At the mentioned meetings, the parties exchanged views on the economic situation and the monetary measures being taken, discussed issues of developing the introduction of digital currencies and deepening bilateral cooperation between the central banks of the two countries in the banking and financial spheres.
