Bishkek, Sept. 19, 2022. / Kabar /. This is a pre-planned aggression on the part of Tajikistan, said Secretary of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic Marat Imankulov during a briefing at Kabar News Agency.

He said that the leaders of law enforcement agencies, seeing the scale of the situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, held talks with their counterparts in Tajikistan.

“I spoke twice on the phone with the secretary of the Security Council of Tajikistan and demanded to stop the shelling on the border and the invasion of our country. They assured us that such a command had come from their side, they asked us to stop shooting too. Ours fired only in response to suppress the points. Our military did not launch a single projectile in the direction of civilians in Tajikistan. But Tajik side fired on the entire perimeter of the Kyrgyz-Tajik border indiscriminately, and on civilians too. Despite the instructions of the leadership of Tajikistan on a ceasefire, the scale of shelling increased, the commands did not obey,” Imankulov said.
