Head of UN Office of Counter-Terrorism to visit Bishkek

Bishkek, May 11, 2024. /Kabar/. As part of a working visit to the UN headquarters in New York, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Asein Isaev met with Head of the UN Office of Counter-Terrorism Vladimir Voronkov.

Isaev expressed the Kyrgyz Republic’s support for the activities of the UNOCT, aimed at developing international and regional cooperation in the fight against terrorism and preventing extremism.

The head of the delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic emphasized the readiness and interest of the Kyrgyz Republic to further strengthen project and program cooperation with the UNOCT. In this regard, during the meeting the parties discussed the details of the upcoming visit of Head of the UNOCT Voronkov to Kyrgyzstan.
