Bishkek, Apr. 3, 2019. /Kabar/. Head of the State Customs Service (SCS) of Kyrgyzstan Almaz Onolbekov and Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan Marat Sultangaziev held a meeting in connection with the problem that arose at the border of the two countries, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Kyrgyzstan reported to the Kabar News Agency.
The meeting took place on March 30 of this year.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the state of the customs administration of the two countries, as well as problematic issues and prospects for further cooperation.
The reason for the meeting was the situation at Ak-Tilek checkpoint at the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border.
Kazakhstan introduced additional control at the border, in connection with which a line of a couple of hundreds of trucks was formed near the checkpoint on the Kyrgyz side. Entrepreneurs experience losses.
