Heads of EAEU SAI sum up results of joint verification of compliance with import customs duties distribution in 2017

Bishkek, Nov. 30, 2018. /Kabar/. A joint meeting of the collegiums (councils, authorized persons) of the Audit Chamber of Armenia, the State Control Committee of Belarus, the Accounts Committee for Control over Execution of the Republican Budget of Kazakhstan, the Accounts Chamber of Russia was held in Moscow on November 29.

The event was attended by the heads of the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) - Chairman of the Audit Chamber of Armenia Levon Yolyan, Chairman of the State Control Committee of Belarus Leonid Anfimov, member of the Accounts Committee for Control over Execution of the Republican Budget of Kazakhstan Nurlan Nurzhanov, Chairman of the Accounts Chamber Of Kyrgyzstan Ulukbek Maripov, Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of Russia Alexei Kudrin.

The Kyrgyz side was also represented by Auditor of the Accounts Chamber of the Kyrgyz Republic Aijan Sadyrkulova, Deputy Director of the Central Treasury of the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic Nukesh Kojobergenov, representative of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Russian Federation Rustam Mametov.

During the meeting, the results of the joint verification of compliance by the authorized bodies of the EAEU countries to the Protocol on the Procedure for Crediting and Distribution of Import Customs Duties (other duties, taxes and fees having equivalent effect), their Transfer to the Union's Budget in 2017 were reviewed. The total amount of import customs duties received by the budgets of the EAEU member states in 2017 amounted to $ 11.6 billion (in 2016 - $ 9.8 billion), compared with 2016, an overall increase in revenue is by $ 1, 8 billion.

For 2017, the amount of import customs duties received from the member states to the budget of Kyrgyzstan amounted to about 15.0 billion soms, or $ 217.5 million. In 2017, the balance of mutual settlements between Kyrgyzstan and the member states was positive and amounted to 2.8 billion soms.

At the end of the meeting, it was noted that in 2017, the authorized bodies of the EAEU member states ensured, in general, the compliance with the procedure for distribution of import customs duties among the budgets of the countries.

In conclusion, the heads of the SAIs decided to approve the Report on the results of the joint audit, which will be sent to the parliaments and governments of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as to the Eurasian Economic Commission.

Ulukbek Maripov also met with journalists from the MIR interstate television and radio company, and spoke about the results of the event and other relevant issues related to the joint audit.
