Heads of economic departments of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey discuss cooperation

Bishkek, Jan. 31, 2019. / Kabar /. Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan Oleg Pankratov met in Ankara with Minister of Commerce of Turkey Ruhsar Pekcan.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation, issues in the field of trade and investment, the press service of the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

In particular, it was proposed to increase trade turnover between states. The heads of economic departments of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey made a decision to form a working group in order to coordinate bilateral cooperation and develop a roadmap to increase bilateral trade. The working group need to make in the shortest possible time the list of domestic goods that can be exported to Turkey.

In addition, the sides discussed the problematic issues of cooperation, agreed to work out ways to solve them. One of the priority issues for the Kyrgyz Republic is to supply Kyrgyz beans to the Turkish market. In this connection, Pankratov asked to render assistance in reducing the rates of duty for Kyrgyz exporters.

At the same time, the sides discussed the possibility of providing the Kyrgyz side a Turkish special incentive system.
