Bishkek, June 20, 2024. /Kabar/. President of Kumtor Gold Company Almazbek Baryktabasov and Director of resources of Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Plant Lyubov Egorova discussed the prospects for possible cooperation.
Almazbek Baryktabasov noted that the two largest mining companies in Central Asia have a whole range of areas for establishing mutually beneficial partnerships.
Lyubov Egorova expressed interest in establishing direct and permanent contacts between the two companies to exchange experience, including on the issues of mining gold ore by open and closed methods.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the MINEX Central Asia 2024 Forum.
Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine Joint Stock Company is one of the four largest gold producing companies in the world.
The plant is an industrial cluster that has mastered the full production cycle, from geological exploration of reserves in the subsoil, ore mining and processing to the production of finished products.
The plant's share in industrial production of the Republic of Uzbekistan is 13.5%, and more than 16% of revenues to the republican budget.
