Bishkek, Oct. 7, 2022 / Kabar /. Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan Daniyar Amangeldiev met today in Seoul with KOICA President Son Hyuk Sang.
During the meeting, the sides noted that the current year is significant, since the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Korea is being celebrated. The sides exchanged views on 10 projects currently being implemented totaling more than USD 48 million in areas such as public administration, agriculture, digitalization, healthcare and regional development, along with the human resource development program and the volunteer program.
In turn, Son Hyuk Sang noted the well-coordinated work of the KOICA office in Kyrgyzstan and the government of the Kyrgyz Republic, stressed the importance of continuing projects aimed at socio-economic development and the welfare of the country's citizens.
For his part, Amangeldiev assured the Korean side that, as a counter-partner of KOICA, the Kyrgyz side would provide comprehensive assistance for the full-fledged work of the KOICA Office in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Following the meeting, the sides reached an agreement on further fruitful cooperation in priority areas for the coming years.
