Health minister reports on 83 infected medical workers

Bishkek, Apr. 14, 2020 / Kabar /. The number of COVID-19 coronavirus infected medical personnel makes 83 people, Minister of Health Sabirzhan Abdikarimov told today at a parliament meeting.

He said that there are doctors, nurses and technical personnel among them.

MP Ainura Askarova noted that she received calls of medical workers who became infected and are now in hospitals. “They cried, choking on blood, asking to protect their honest name. This is a big alarm,” she said.

The minister noted that this issue has been taken under control. "Every person who has a disease has a different psychology. We attract psychologists to support our patients psychologically. We take all the best measures. Moreover, the other day I will personally go and meet with the health workers who are now being held in hospitals," Abdikarimov said.
