Bishkek, March 4 / Kabar /. President of Hockey Federations of Kyrgyzstan and Russia signed a memorandum on cooperation.
The event was attended by President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation Vladislav Tretyak, president of the Ice Hockey Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic Anwar Omorkanov and Director of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports Kanat Amankulov.
Amankulov said that, the signing of this memorandum will give impetus to the development of hockey in Kyrgyzstan. "Despite the short period of time, our players were able to show good results. I take this opportunity to thank the Russian Hockey Federation because they provide an opportunity to participate our athletes in competitions in Russia," he said.
President of the Ice Hockey Federation of Russia Tretyakov said in turn that the Russian hockey is over 70 years, and they have what to be proud of share. "For 70 years, we have 8-time Olympic champions, and 28 times champion of the world, and we are one of the leaders of world hockey. We also want to see, that this kind of sport develop in your country too," he said, adding that with the help of Russia, Kyrgyzstan will be able to succeed in this sport.
In addition, Tretyakov said that he is a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation, where one of the tasks is to cooperate and develop the sport in the smaller countries.
President of the Hockey Federation of Kyrgyzstan Anwar Omorkanov said that the signing of the memorandum is a historical and significant event for Kyrgyzstan. "We have shown good results, and now we will support Russia, then we can show even better results," he said.
During the event Amankulov awarded Tretyakov the Golden Order of the National Olympic Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic on behalf of the National Olympic Committee for his great contribution to the development of hockey and The latter, in turn, expressed his gratitude, stressing that it is a great gift for his 65th birthday.
