Bishkek, Mar. 25, 2019. /Kabar/. The Hockey Federation of Uzbekistan and the Ice Hockey Federation of Kyrgyzstan have signed a memorandum of cooperation, Podrobno.uz reported.
The document was signed by Vice President of the Hockey Federation of Uzbekistan Kirill Matveev and President of the Ice Hockey Federation of Kyrgyzstan Anvar Omorkanov.
"The sides agreed to share experience in popularizing the sport, introducing it to young people, holding friendly hockey meetings involving clubs of different age groups. The possibility of holding seasonal sports gatherings in the territories of friendly neighboring republics was also discussed," the press service of the Hockey Federation of Uzbekistan reported.
The memorandum of cooperation was signed within the framework of the International Ice Hockey Tournament for the cup of the Mayor of Bishkek among children's teams.
President of the Ice Hockey Federation of Kyrgyzstan Anvar Omorkanov wished great success to Uzbekistan's reborn hockey, which, at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is gaining stable development vector on the foundation of the material and technical base being created, where the opening of the first professional ice complex Khumo Arena in the heart of Tashkent has become one of the most significant events.
