Honorary Consulate of Kyrgyzstan opened in Luxembourg

Bishkek, Feb.14, 2020. /Kabar/. As part of working visit of Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Chingiz Aidarbekov to Luxembourg, the Honorary Consulate of Kyrgyzstan has been opened.

The opening of the Honorary Consulate was also attended by Kyrgyz Ambassador to Luxembourg Muktar Dzhumaliyev and compatriots living in the city, the press service of the Kyrgyz MFA reported.

Frank Wagner has been appointed Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic in Luxembourg.

Wagner spoke about his plans to work as Honorary Consul, in particular, to protect the rights and interests of Kyrgyz citizens residing in Luxembourg, as well as to strengthen trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between the countries, and to promote the tourist potential of Kyrgyzstan.

FM Aidarbekov congratulated Honorary Consul Wagner on his appointment, and expressed wish for the development of bilateral relations and confidence that by joint efforts the sides will bring the cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Luxembourg to a higher level in all priority and mutually beneficial areas.

Best practices of Luxembourg in the field of education, culture, finance, environmental construction are noted as important guidance in the activities of the Honorary Consul in promoting contacts for cooperation with Kyrgyzstan.

"On the same day, the minister visited Chyngyz Aitmatov Street, recently opened in the capital of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg," the report says.
