Bishkek, Sept. 2, 2020. /Kabar/. In order to prepare for a possible second wave of COVID-19, the resuscitation department of the Issyk-Kul Joint Hospital is being renovated, First Deputy Governor Elchibek Dzhantayev told.
KGS 19 million 378 thousand have been allocated for this purpose and 25 intensive care beds will be ready.
"Also, Issyk-Kul Oblast Development Fund will allocate KGS 9 million 911 thousand to equip the department with medical equipment. The department will be put into operation approximately on Sept. 6," the first deputy governor said.
He also added KGS 16 million 640 thousand had been allocated for repairing the 60-bed infectious disease department.
"For today the repair is made on 85 %. Also, the Development Fund will allocate KGS 7.6 million to purchase equipment for this department. Besides, the second floor of the hospital will be put into operation in Kara-Koo village. The total cost estimate is KGS 15 million, and money for equipping the hospital is also provided. The facility is planned to be commissioned by the end of autumn," the official concluded.
