Bishkek, Sept. 13, 2018. /Kabar/. According to the latest data of the National Statistics Committee, there are 3 thousand 107 foreign enterprises in Kyrgyzstan, and 42% of the total number (1 thousand 328) are joint companies.
The bulk of the foreign companies that lead their business in Kyrgyzstan are located in Bishkek – 2 thousand 579, or 80% of the total number.
Over 62.5 thousand of people or 31.3% of those working in the real sector of economy are employed in foreign-invested enterprises. Over 75% of them are men.
Following the results of the past year, the volume of industrial products (work, services) of foreign-invested enterprises amount to 124.4 billion soms. Generally, they produce plastic containers, furniture, window frames, pasta products, tea, and drinks.
