Bishkek, May 5, 2020. /Kabar/. Monitoring of compliance with quarantine regime in the city of Bishkek will be strengthened. The corresponding order was given at a meeting of the Republican Headquarters for Preventing Import and Further Spread of Coronavirus Infection, the press service of the Kyrgyz Government reported.

Health Minister Sabirzhan Abdikarimov noted that some retail outlets and food markets do not observe sanitary requirements. Also, he said there have been cases of non-compliance sanitary requirements by taxi drivers.

The minister added in this regard, it is necessary to strengthen control over compliance with sanitary regulations and other quarantine measures.

First Deputy Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov criticized the law enforcement bodies.

He stressed that a state of emergency is currently in force in a number of towns and regions, and a number of restrictions had been imposed on the movement of transport and the population.

"There have been some easing in order to restore certain economic activities, but this does not mean the quarantine has been abolished for other categories of citizens and everyone can travel and walk around the city without reasonable reasons.

Holidays have also increased the number of people on the streets. In this part, law enforcement bodies have to strengthen the work of the patrols, as well as to monitor the strict observance of sanitary and hygiene rules and the rules of self-distancing,” said the first deputy PM.

During the meeting, the local self-governing bodies were assigned to carry out wide awareness raising activities on above issues with the population.

Kubatbek Boronov also noted that the independently adopted decisions of governors concerning the prohibition of entry into oblasts and the requirement of a certificate approving that person is not ill with coronavirus must be changed.

According to him, the increased control over all incoming and outgoing transport and citizens at sanitary quarantine posts should continue according to the algorithm of actions of inspections, approved by the Ministry of Health.

The requirement of the certificate on absence of COVID-19 in citizens is superfluous, except for the cases provided in the corresponding algorithms of action.

Heads of state and local authorities are instructed to keep under control the issue of ensuring health safety, compliance with basic sanitary requirements by employees, involved in the fight against coronavirus, in order to exclude cases of infection.
