Huge losses of water. Kyrgyzstan allocates KGS 1B to repair its irrigation systems

Bishkek, Jan. 29, 2022 . / Kabar / . KGS 1 billion was allocated from the republican budget of Kyrgyzstan for the first time in history of independence of the country to repair irrigation systems.

The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported that these funds are allocated for repair and cleaning works of irrigation networks.

A loss of water in large volumes was observed during irrigation works due to deterioration of irrigation systems.

In addition, KGS 1.9 billion was allocated for food security, namely for the purchase of grain and other essential products.

In order to provide state support to seed farms and agricultural producers in providing high-yield seeds, KGS 1 million 534 was also allocated.

By order of Kyrgyz president, these measures are aimed to support the agro-industrial complex of the country.
