Bishkek, Apr. 29, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, Apr. 29, the first batch of humanitarian aid from Kazakhstan in the form of flour has arrived in Kyrgyzstan.
800 tones of humanitarian cargo was delivered by rail in 12 wagons, meeting all sanitary and epidemiological standards.
In order to provide economic support to neighbors during the period of counteraction to the pandemic, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has made a decision to provide humanitarian aid to Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan in the form of supplies of Kazakh flour in the amount of 5,000 tons each country worth over $3 million.
Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation Erkinbek Choduyev said the Kyrgyz side highly appreciates the help provided by the Kazakh Government, and expresses its deep gratitude to the brotherly people of Kazakhstan for support.
The humanitarian aid from Kazakhstan has been placed in the warehouses of the State Material Reserves Fund under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
