Bishkek, July 27, 2020 /Kabar/. Today, July 27 during a ceremony of handing over humanitarian assistance from Russia Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Health Minister Mademin Karatayev said the aid will be distributed as needed.
"To date, the epidemiological situation remains serious, and the republic still has a high number of seriously and extremely seriously ill people. The Health Ministry will monitor and send equipment to those medical facilities where they are most needed," the deputy minister said.
Karatayev noted the equipment is currently in the warehouse of the Department of Drug Provision and Medical Equipment and is already sent to the northern regions whenever possible. The equipment is planned to be delivered to the south of the country by cargo plane tomorrow.
As part of agreements reached between Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Russia Vladimir Putin, the Russian side provided another batch of humanitarian aid, which was delivered to the city of Bishkek on July 26 with a special board of the Russian Ministry for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Relief.
The humanitarian cargo consists of medical equipment, medicines and personal protective equipment (radiographic apparatus - 5 units, 65 monitors for anesthesiology and intensive care with an oxometric sensor - 65 pieces, monitor for anesthesiology and intensive care without an oxometric sensor – 5 units, 31 ventilators, medicines and medical masks in the amount of 100 thousand pieces).
