Hundreds of thousands of tons of gold ore are exported from Kyrgyzstan - MP

Bishkek, Jan. 16, 2020. / Kabar /. Vice Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament Mirlan Bakirov at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh raised the issue of the export of gold ore and concentrates from the country.

“Why are the instructions of the Security Council on ensuring security in the field of subsoil use and mining not being implemented?” Already a year has passed. However, the relevant state and regulatory authorities do not take specific measures. Hundreds of thousands of tons of gold-bearing ores and concentrates are exported from Kyrgyzstan,” the MP said.

The deputy also indicated that it is necessary to increase the tax rates for the export of ore and concentrate from the republic, including raising the tax for mining (processing) enterprises.
