Bishkek, Nov. 6, 2024 . / Kabar / . The official visit of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to Kyrgyzstan, which took place on Nov. 5, has been completed.
A ceremony of official meeting of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov and Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban took place at the Yntymak Ordo.
Then, negotiations were held in narrow and extended formats, during which a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary were discussed, as well as prospects for the development of cooperation in various spheres.
Sadyr Zhaparov and Viktor Orban reaffirmed the parties' determination to continue the course of strengthening bilateral ties in the spirit of friendship, brotherhood, mutual respect and trust.
Joint efforts of the two countries are already yielding positive results: mutual trade is growing and cooperation in the academic and educational spheres is intensifying. Several joint projects financed by the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund have also been launched.
Following the visit of the prime minister of Hungary to Kyrgyzstan, a number of bilateral documents aimed at increasing cooperation between the two countries were signed.
Among the signed documents are the Joint Declaration on Enhanced Strategic Partnership between the Kyrgyz Republic and Hungary, the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and the Government of Hungary on air communication, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary on cooperation within the framework of the STIPENDIUM HUNGARICUM program for 2025-2027 and others.
Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban is expected to attend the meeting of the Council of Heads of States of the Organization of Turkic Staes (OTS) to be held on Nov. 6 in Bishkek.
