‘I am champion' winter games held at ski base in Issyk-Kul Oblast

Bishkek, Dec.23, 2024. /Kabar/. The republican “I am a champion” winter games among pupils of children's and youth sports schools of the country were held at the alpine skiing base in Karakol of Issyk-Kul Oblast, the press service of the Bishkek Mayor’s Office reported.

120 young athletes participated in the competition.

The purpose of the games was to popularize Winter Olympic sports, strengthen cooperation between regions in the field of children's and youth sports, promote healthy lifestyles among young people and support promising athletes.

“Winter games have become a bright event that unites young athletes from different parts of the country and contributes to the development of sports in Kyrgyzstan. These competitions help to form new traditions of training future champions”, the report said.
