Bishkek, Feb. 11, 2019. /Kabar/. The first meeting of the Consultative Group on Economic Diplomacy under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the Kyrgyz Republic chaired by Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov was held in Bishkek.
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that at the meeting, the tasks and work plan of the Consultative Group on Economic Diplomacy for the first half of 2019, as well as problematic issues on attracting investment, promoting foreign economic relations of the Kyrgyz Republic with foreign countries, export and tourism opportunities were discussed.
Special attention was paid to development and implementation of joint projects, support for small and medium-sized businesses, inter-agency cooperation and work with foreign agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic on the implementation of economic diplomacy priorities.
Following the meeting, it was decided to continue the practice of joint discussion of problematic issues with the invitation of representatives of business associations in order to develop practical actions in the field of attracting investment, promoting the export and tourism potential of the Kyrgyz Republic in priority countries and key sectors of the economy.
The meeting was attended by Director of the Investment Promotion and Protection Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic Adilbek Uluu, deputy heads and experts of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Agriculture, Food Industry and Melioration, Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism, and staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
