IAC names cause of plane crash in Dacha- Su village in Bishkek in 2017

Bishkek, Mar.2, 2020. /Kabar/. The Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) named the cause of the crash of Boeing in Bishkek in 2017.

According to the Committee's report, Turkish Airlines aircraft crashed due to crew error.

"The reason for the 22nd crash of Boeing 747-412F TC-MCL was the crew's lack of control over the position of the aircraft relative to the glide when performing automatic boarding at night, in weather conditions corresponding to ICAO CAT II, and as a consequence, failure to take timely care of the second lap with significant deviations from the established pattern of approach, resulting in a collision with the ground in guided flight (CFIT) at a distance of ≈ 930 m behind the exit end of the active runway," the report says.

Note an aircraft accident with Boeing 747, registered in Turkey, has occurred on Jan.16, 2017 in the area of Manas International Airport in Bishkek.

When landing, the plane fell on the village of Dacha-Su. As a result of the tragedy 39 people were killed, including 35 local residents and four crew members.

About 30 residential buildings were destroyed.
