Bishkek, May 14, 2024. /Kabar/. The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) plans to allocate $45 million to Kyrgyzstan for the leasing of agricultural and special machinery, machinery and equipment for processing enterprises.
The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that a meeting was held between the delegation of the IDB program mission and the leadership of the ministry and representatives of state banks.
At the meeting, a draft application for attracting an investment loan from the IDB in the amount of $45 million was discussed for the lease purchase of agricultural and special machinery, machinery and equipment for processing enterprises in Kyrgyzstan. The parties also discussed issues related to the implementation of the project, timing, main stages, review of previous similar projects, positive and possible negative aspects during the implementation of the project, results and monitoring of the project, the report said.
Afterwards, representatives of the mission met with the leadership of financial organizations and the banking sector. In the near future, it is also planned to become familiar with the equipment of suppliers offered to agricultural producers.
