Bishkek, April 5, 2023. / Kabar/. Part of the Suusamyr-Talas-Taraz road will be repaired at the expense of the Islamic Development Bank, the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic said.
Minister of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic Tilek Tekebaev met on Monday with head of the regional office of the IDB in Almaty, Ibrahim Shukri, and the manager of insurance operations, Ali Khan, where a number of pressing issues on jointly implemented projects were discussed.
The ministry reported that the loan funds of the Islamic Development Bank are expected to implement the Reconstruction of the Suusamyr - Talas - Taraz Road Project, Phase IV, (km 105 -198), in the future, which is currently under preparation for the signing of the Loan Agreement and the Technical Grant Assistance Agreement in the amount of USD 50.2 million.
It was also noted that a project for the reconstruction of the Issyk-Kul ring road from km 104 to 184.5 is currently being implemented, the cost of which is estimated at USD 20 million.
