Bishkek, May 25, 2023. /Kabar/. The plenary session of the II Eurasian Economic Forum "Eurasian Integration in a Multipolar World" was held in Moscow on Wednesday.
The event was held with the participation of Presidents of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mher Grigoryan, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mikhail Myasnikovich. Also, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping delivered a video message to the Forum participants.
The leaders of the EAEU countries, answering the questions of the event moderator Alexander Shokhin, outlined the prospects for the development and deepening of the Union, as well as topical issues of integration processes, in particular, the acceleration of digital transformation, the development of transport and logistics infrastructure, economic sustainability, the development of Eurasian institutions, additional measures to support business initiatives.
The leaders of the EAEU countries also noted that the Forum, the first opening of which took place in 2022 in Bishkek, is becoming a new and good tradition.
The II Eurasian Economic Forum is held within the framework of the Russian Federation's chairmanship in the EAEU bodies in 2023, the purpose of which is to improve cooperation ties in the Eurasian space.
The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is an economic union of some post-Soviet states located in Eurasia. It comprises of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
