II meeting of Kyrgyz-Chinese joint working group held in Bishkek

Bishkek, Oct. 15, 2018. /Kabar/. The 2nd Session of the Kyrgyz-Chinese joint working group for ensuring the security of the One Belt, One Road joint construction was held in Bishkek, on October 12, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The meeting was chaired by Director of the First Political Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Kanat Tursunkulov and Director of the Department of External Security of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Liu Shaobin.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Secretariat of the Security Council, the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Committee for National Security and the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The event was held in a traditionally friendly and constructive atmosphere. The sides exchanged views on the situation in the field of security and stability in the region, discussed issues of further developing cooperation and improving interaction mechanisms in the field of countering terrorism, separatism and extremism, illicit arms and drug trafficking and other modern challenges and threats.
