III WNG: Armwrestling winners

Bishkek, Sept. 03, 2018. /Kabar/. Competitions in armwreslting among men and women took place on the outdoor stage of the Physical Culture and Health Complex in Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul oblast.

56 sportsmen from 17 countries of the world took part in the competitions. Sportsmen at the age of 18 and over qualified for the competitions. It was right and left hand rivalry among men and women, the Secretariat of the Third World Nomad Games reported.

2 place – Vali Farazhou (Kazakhstan) – 30 thousand soms;

3 place – Dmitry Dokuchaev (Uzbekistan) – 15 thousand soms.

up to 95 kg:

1 place – Evgeny Pridnuk (Ukraine) - 50 thousand soms;

2 place – Andrey Stepanchuk (Kazakhstan) - 30 thousand soms;

Armwrestling is a type of wrestling on hands between two participants. In armwrestling sportsmen compete standing by a special table. Their elbows push against pads. The winner is the one who pulls the rival’s hand (wrist) to the pillow first. Competitions take place both on right and left hands. It one of the most ancient sports, which was restored in 1960, 20th century.
