III WNG: Kyrgyzstani wrestlers win three medals on first day of competitions

Issyk-Kul, Sept. 03, 2018. /Kabar/. On September 2 the Third World Nomad Games started in Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul oblast. On the first day of the tournament 3 sets of medals were played out for competitions in the Tajik national belt wrestling – gushtini milli kamarbandi.

The Secretariat of the Third World Nomad Games reported that the participants of the tournament included 27 sportsmen from 11 countries.

Kyrgyzstan was represented in all three weight categories (up to 68 kg, up to 82 kg, and in open weight class). At the end of battles of the preliminary round, two Kyrgyzstani wrestlers made it to the finals, and one received an opportunity to fight for the bronze medal.

In the final bout in the weight category up to 68 kg Kyrgyzstani wrestler Marlen Abdrasulov fought against sportsman from Turkmenistan Begench Yagmurov. The battle ended with the victory of Abdrasulov, who was awarded with a gold medal of the tournament. In the result list of this weight category the third place is taken by sportsmen from Kazakhstan and Russia.

In the final bout in the weight category up to 82 kg Kyrgyzstani wrestler Sherikbay Amanill uulu fought with a representative of the Russia Federation Artur Zulkarnaev. The Russian wrestler overpowered his rival from Kyrgyzstan, and was awarded with a gold medal of the tournament.

The third medal for Kyrgyzstan was won by Kairat Toichiev in the open weight class. The gold medal in this weight category was won by sportsman from Turkenistan Annamurat Muradov.

2 place – Sherikbay Amanill uulu (Kyrgyzstan) - 35 thousand soms;

3 place – Silapberdi Nuriev (Turkmenistan) - 17 thousand 500 soms;

3 place – Elmaddin Ramazanov (Azerbaijan) - 17 thousand 500 soms.

Open weight class:

1 place – Annamurat Muradov (Turkmenistan) - 75 thousand soms;

2 place – Jongor Parenbaatar (Mongolia) - 35 thousand soms;

3 place – Kairat Toichiev (Kyrgyzstan) - 17 thousand 500 soms;

3 place – Maksat Dzhandildaev (Kazakhstan) - 17 thousand 500 soms.
