III WNG sports activities started with wrestling – Amankulov.

Cholpon-Ata, Sep. 02, 2018. /Kabar/. The Third World Nomad Games sports activities have begun in Cholpon-Ata. They started with types of wrestling and first winners will be determined this afternoon, Director of the State Agency for Youth, Physical Culture and Sports, First Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee Kanat Amankulov told at a press conference at the Physical Culture and Health Complex in Cholpon-Ata. Amankulov said that the participants of the games will include more than 2 thousand sportsmen, fifteen hundred of them have already arrived at the coast of Issyk-Kul.

“Sportsmen are arriving from 62 countries and 11 member-states of the Russian Federation. 594 sets of medals will be played out there, 174 of them are gold, 173 - silver, and 247 – bronze”, Amankulov said.

“Our Olympic champions, as well as the Asian Games medalists and participants that returned from Jakarta have been invited to the opening ceremony. I think the sports part will be very interesting. Each program will include sports competitions of nomads from Central Asia, South-Eastern Asia, Europe, and Africa. Welcome”, Amankulov said.

The sports activities will take place at Cholpon-Ata hippodrome, Kyrchyn Gorge, Eurasia Hotel, Physical Culture and Health Complex.
