Bishkek, Nov. 25, 2020. /Kabar/. Implementation of investment projects will create additional jobs, Acting Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, First Deputy Prime Minister Artem Novikov said at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh.
Today’s meeting considered a draft Law "On Amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic" On the Republican Budget for 2020 and the forecast for 2021-2022 and the draft Law "On the Republican Budget for 2021 and the forecast for 2022-2023.
"With the beginning of 2021, we plan to launch 6 major investment projects worth $142 million. In case of their successful implementation, 2,380 new jobs will be created. Among these projects is the launch of a gold mining enterprise in Talas Oblast. Alliance-Altyn company planned to launch production this year. However, due to recent events it had to adjust its plans and postpone the launch to 2021. With the full launch of this enterprise 1000 new jobs will be created,” Artem Novikov said, the press service of the Kyrgyz Government said.
Projects under the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund for $100 million and public-private partnership are also at the launch stage.
At the same time, the acting prime minister stressed that work is under way with local major business representatives to jointly attract domestic and foreign investments.
"Successful implementation of the projected plans will have a positive impact on the labor market and will largely solve problems with unemployment and outflow of labor from the country," said Novikov.
